Initially, as a kid I was actually quite unhealthy. Never worked out a day in my life, back then. I progressively gained more and more weight over time to the point where I was I think 90kg [198lb] of just fat and wearing size 40 inch plus pants all the way into my first year of uni. And then, I dunno, a switch just clicked. One time when I was home I just started running. And, I guess to sort of escape that kind of fat kid stigma, I started running, and then running and running and running. Eventually got into weight lifting. So, I initially started training just to escape my old habits and insecurities I suppose. But then that evolved into something I wanted to keep more consistent and to better my life.
