I am and always wanted to be a physicist. Understanding not just the name of things but how the things that bear those names work. I reached Japan to enroll in the nuclear department in TITech. One year before graduation my career was shocked and shaped by the accident at Fukushima Daiichi. I would not be surprised to discover at the time of my retirement to have worked all my life trying to understand this accident and engineers’ responsibilities.
I am interested in all sports but in particular in the details where physics can help explaining and improving technique. What is the best position of your hand to obtain an effective and propulsive advancement in water, how to extract more power from your legs during running and avoid injuries? I have always believed in the powerful dualism of muscles and brain, form and matter and I apply this system to everyday workout alone or with friends.
