Simon has a passion for all things movement-related. Upon arriving in Kyoto in 2012 to study Japanese, he began his fitness journey by joining a dance circle and a Taiko group at a local university. After moving to Tokyo in 2014, he continued developing his dance skills by expanding from bboy to hiphop to various social dances.
In late 2015, he discovered AcroYoga and became an avid practitioner of the art. Wishing to expand it to the English-speaking community, he began organizing free lessons in Yoyogi Park via Meetup. Since joining SOGO in September 2016, he has further expanded the practice and is now co-organizing regular AcroYoga events every week.
His preferred modes of training include street calisthenics, bouldering, gymnastics inspired workouts, and weightlifting.

“No man has the right to be an amateur in the matter of physical training. It is a shame for a man to grow old without seeing the beauty and strength of which his body is capable.” – Socrates
